11/11/2023 0 Comments Seattle transfer stationThe site is bordered to the north by Seattle Public Utilities’ South Transfer Station (across South. It is located about 1,600 feet southwest of the Lower Duwamish Waterway. As the architectural design lead, RAI is currently in the design phase and using Revit 3D modeling to develop and design the structures. The South Park Landfill is a closed solid waste landfill located on an approximately 40-acre area between Highway 99 and Highway 509 in Seattle's South Park neighborhood. Information was gathered and transmitted into both graphic and analytic forms, then reiterated into the stakeholder community outreach. Styrofoam chunks: Take to Whole Foods (all locations) or Seattle Lighting Outlet: 26. RAI led the programming phase which involved a complex network of consultants, the client, and stakeholders. Take to North Transfer Station recycling (no charge) 1350 N 34th St. Using 3D modeling, RAI conducted a graphic analysis of all eleven facilities and their impact to site layout and density. The operation requires parking for a minimum of (6) field ops trucks and parking for a staff of 11. The building requires approximately 900 sf of office tenant space and 700 sf of operational area (locker rooms and storage). Pros and cons were provided, along with costs to be integrated. RAI provided two schematic design options for the layout of the Graffiti Ranger and Illegal Dumping Support Facility on the site, along with space allocations and floor plans. The site will have 100,000 sf of structures including Recycling and Reuse Facility (15,000 sf), Dewatering and Decant Facility (MRF), and other associated structures. At all other King County transfer stations, clean wood is not accepted for recycling and may be disposed in compliance with the following disposal rules: Customers using dump trucks, flat beds that dump, tip trailers or roll-off boxes may not dispose of C&D debris at King County transfer stations (with the exception of Vashon transfer station. This complex project involves the master planning of seven new facilities on a Seattle Public Utility-owned closed-landfill site totaling 11 acres in size, which will support the nearby SPU Transfer Station built in 2014.
